Evaluating the Impact of Environment Color on Emotional States

Two VR applications to evaluate the impact of environment color on emotional state. Architecture designs made by a team of undergraduate students were brought in from Revit into Unreal Engine and tasks were implemented to induce and test emotional states. Both allow for environment colors to be switched between runs to any order needed and collect various points of behavioral data to allow for analysis with EEG headset data. Each runs through a brief tutorial of the task to be completed before beginning the formal experiment. Testing procedures and equipment handling guidelines were also developed to ensure safety and simplify the facilitating process for the experiments.
